Model Railroader This magazine is for all scales, but carries very little about Z scale. Although their emphasis is currently on N and HO scale, they do have articles on making scenery and layouts that would be helpful for Z scale model railroaders too.

ZTrack  This magazine is dedicated to Z scale. I subscribe to ZTrack. The magazine has news about new releases, the National Train Show, and a lot of "how-to" information.

Books

Some of these books are not necessarily about Z scale model railroading, but what they have to say for other scales will probably be helpful for Z scale layouts. At least I have hopes.

Walthers N&Z 2005 Model Railroad Reference Book. This lists a lot of trains and model railroading supplies, along with "retail" prices. So it is a handy source of prices when you see something on eBay and want to find out what the item really costs. I got this in Little Rock at HobbyTown USA (9101 W. Markham St.)
